FIFA Unveils the 2026 World Cup Mascots

Football’s governing body has introduced the three characters that will serve as the official image of the upcoming tournament.

Through its social media channels, the Federation International of Association Football officially presented the three mascots for the 2026 World Cup.

Each host country will feature a characteristic animal dressed in its traditional colors.

Maple is a Canadian moose who plays as a goalkeeper and stands out for her “creativity, resilience, and authentic individualism,” as highlighted by FIFA.

Representing Mexico is the forward Zayu, whose name signifies “unity,” “strength,” and “joy”; he is a jaguar inhabiting the jungles of southern Mexico.

Meanwhile, the United States will be represented by an eagle named Clutch, who plays as a midfielder and whose qualities include an “insatiable spirit, boundless curiosity, and unwavering optimism.”
