adidas has unveiled the designs that the Argentina national team will use in the coming years, highlighting their participation in the XXIII edition of the world’s great football event in mid-2026 in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The German sports brand maintains the traditional format of light blue and white stripes that historically characterize the reigning world champions for the primary variant.

As special novelties, a particular gradient is formed, inspired by the tones used by the national team in the years they lifted the FIFA top trophy: 1978 (Argentina), 1986 (Mexico), and 2022 (Qatar).

Navy blue, meanwhile, will stand out in the three stripes—which from now on will appear wider than usual—on the collar, and on the sleeve edges where it will be combined with light blue.

In addition to the patch in the center identifying them as the reigning monarchs, special details will be visible, such as holographic stripes and the Sun of May on the crest, the three stars with the year of each consecration, the adidas logo with smaller versions repeated on the inside, and “1893” on the back of the neck, referring to the founding year of the AFA (Argentine Football Association).

The black kit will pay tribute to the art of “fileteado porteño”; therefore, characteristic graphic decorations typically seen on buses, signs, and the streets of Buenos Aires will be found across its surface.

Other special details will be located on the back of the neck, where the country’s name will be included in the “fileteado” style along with the Sun of May from the national flag, and in the adidas logo, which will feature the famous retro “trefoil” returning to a World Cup jersey after 36 years.

The “albiceleste” will defend the title achieved in Qatar 2022 in the next edition of the 2026 World Cup to be played in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Their opponents in Group J will be Algeria, Austria, and debutants Jordan.
