adidas Trionda: Official Match Ball of the 2026 World Cup

The ball that will be used during the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been officially presented.

With less than a year to go before the action kicks off in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, the design of the adidas ball for the World Cup has been revealed.

For the fifteenth consecutive edition, the brand-new ball is the work of the German “three-stripes” brand, with the chosen name being TRIONDA.

The name is a combination of the word “TRI,” representing the three host countries, and “ONDA” (Wave), referring to the Spanish meaning of the word and the shape of the panels. This design features only four panels, moving away from the triangles introduced for the Al Rihla and Al Hilm balls of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Its base is classic white, while the graphics feature the colors that identify each host country—red, blue, and green—including gold borders as a nod to the famous trophy raised by the champions. Within the graphics, characteristic elements of the hosts are present, such as Canada’s maple leaf, stars for the United States, and an eagle figure for Mexico, with similar references repeated in the ball’s 3D texture.

TRIONDA is expected to make its official debut during this month’s FIFA international window, as several national teams resume activity in friendly matches and World Cup qualifiers.
