Argentina 2026 adidas Special Edition jersey
The German brand has unveiled a commemorative kit paying tribute to Lionel Messi’s career with the “Albiceleste” national team.
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) and adidas have officially revealed the special collection developed to celebrate Lionel Messi‘s career with the Argentina National Team. Its centerpiece will be a match jersey worn on October 6th during his international farewell match against Benin.
The apparel takes direct inspiration from the national flag, incorporating a reinterpretation of the iconic Sun of May spread all-over the front and back of the garment.
The classic light blue and white color palette is elevated by premium gold applications decorating the ensemble. As a major mark of distinction, the traditional adidas logo is replaced by Messi’s official “M” logo, sealing the alliance between the star from Rosario and the brand.
Among the standout commemorative elements, the print features a special badge with the historic number 10 framed by laurel branches and the Sun of May. Additionally, gold accents extend to the AFA crest, the players’ numbering typography, and the trims of the jersey.
The Messi x Argentina capsule is completed by pre-match training apparel, a lifestyle clothing line, shorts, and socks, as well as a green and gold goalkeeper jersey that will be worn during the match against the African side at River Plate’s Monumental Stadium.
